Liturgical Press

A coordinated approach to modernizing legacy systems.

Liturgical Press is known for its publications for both the popular and the academic market.   They chose to update their online sales system to better serve their customers as well as decrease the cost of operation.

The first phase consisted of Digital Green working closely with the St. John's IT department to transfer and configure the large site to their severs.  Then Digital Green developed the site in Microsoft’s .NET technology.

After the transfer and setup was complete Digital Green worked closely with Liturgical Press’ in house web developer, creating a site that could be easily updated by them both through templates and an online administration panel.  This removed the need for them to out source the website updates and do them as frequently as they saw fit.

This project was also a great example of our talented programmers integrating a web site with a legacy accounting, shipping, and inventory system.  The site can update itself from their enterprise system as well as have their system update with orders from the web, again saving Liturgical Press valuable personnel hours while keeping their site up-to-date and fresh.
