Digital Green to sell Web division to Meta 13

New Company started by Digital Green developer to acquire clients in deal

Waite Park - Digital Green LLC plans to sell its Web site development division to a new St. Cloud-based technology company.

Digital Green, based in Waite Park, signed a tentative agreement with Meta 13 Interactive on Tuesday.

The deal would give Meta 13 Digital Green's client base as well as the technology and process Digital Green has developed since it formed in 1997.

Josh Gauerke, a longtime developer at Digital Green, started Meta 13 last month with his brother Justin.

The company provides Web design and development, custom programming and consulting services.

Digital Green President Justin Wampach said the company considered selling the Web site development division after the group produced a small part of the comapany's less than $5 million in sales last year.

Digital Green has serviced more than 100 clients through the division in five years, Josh Gauerke said.

This week, the company started to refer clients to Meta 13.

"Josh is just an incredible person," Wampach said. "Josh has done a lot for the Web division and creating our corporate culture."

Gauerke expects to finalize the agreement as early as next week, when Meta 13 opens an office at 501 St. Germain St., Suite 308.

Digital Green started in 1997 and has offices in Waite Park, Golden Valley, and Concord, Calif.

Wampach said the sale would allow the local office to focus more on broadband installation — the company's largest division — and integrating technology in new construction.
